ABOUT CHARD ROCK

Chard Rock has been a dream of mine for years and thankfully I’m now in a position to dedicate some time to making it become reality. I’ve always been in a band from my early days at school and have performed with some great acts along the way.

In the same way that I’ve had some great experiences in the industry I wanted to give other local bands the opportunity to perform and be alongside national bands like Livewire.

As well as supporting the local bands it is a great chance to make music accessible to the South West. A lot of music festivals happen in big cities so this is the chance for the local community to benefit from good music.

Another important thing for me is to be able to raise some money for charities or clubs. For example Chard Rugby Club have offered parking in their club for everyone coming to the festival. Only £3 for the day which is amazing for both our festival goers as well as a few pounds in their pot to help develop future rugby players across all ages.

In 2018 we are raising funds for a small charity, the AT Society. Ataxia-Telangiectasia (A-T) is a progressive genetic condition which causes severe disability and is life-limiting. The A-T Society supports families to live their lives to the full and funds medical research. Take a look at http://www.atsociety.org.uk and feel free to support a little if you can.
